Built Different
Carrying Duke's spirit forward by helping kids play with heart, lead with kindness, and lift others just as he did
From the field to the classroom, Duke brought a rare energy to everything he touched. He was a competitor who loved the Chiefs, Royals, and Huskers, but he was also a creator who spent 30+ hours making keychains for his school's Makers Mart simply to spread joy. Whether he was fishing, drawing, or inventing, Duke created his own fun and shared it freely.
How Duke Made Others Feel

The Includer
Duke included everyone, without hesitation, without judgment, and without needing to be asked. He made people feel seen, safe, and welcomed.

The Protector
Duke naturally looked out for others. Whether on the playground or in the neighborhood, he protected younger kids and stood up for his peers, ensuring everyone felt safe in his presence.

The Connector
Duke made friends out of strangers. He organized pickup games, trading cards, and neighborhood adventures with a simple, "Bring your glove!"

The Leader
Duke was a "quiet leader" who encouraged his peers to be the best versions of themselves. He led with kindness and character, proving that you don't have to be the loudest in the room to make the biggest impact.
